Big Story: Leave my wife alone , Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba slams Dr Rtd Col Kizza Besigye. Whisper Eye Reports

Uganda’s first son who doubles as a senior Presidential Advisor in charge of Special Operations, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has slammed Rtd Col Kizza Besigye for attacking his wife, Charlotte Muhoozi.

Last week Dr Kizza Besigye accused Charlotte Muhoozi’s company,  Silverbacks Pharmaceuticals Ltd, of supplying an oxygen plant to Mulago National Referral Hospital at an inflated rate.

In a twist of events Silverbacks yesterday dismissed Besigye’s accusations, saying the cost variation was caused by the exchange rate differences and air freight as this was an emergency procurement.

Gen Muhoozi seemed to have been bothered by Kizza Besigye attack on his wife he took to Twiiter to reply and defend his wife.

“Colonel Besigye, were you a ‘Royal’ when you came with Mzee Museveni  in 1985 to our home in Sweden?” said Muhoozi in response to Besigye’s social media post describing Charlotte as ‘NRM/Junta royals’.

“You are one of our elders, and we respect you as an elder,” said Muhoozi.

“If you want to attack me, I’m right here. Leave my wife alone,” he emphasized.

Muhoozi’s Tweet reply comes after Besigye had also used Twiiter to attack Muhoozi wife.

Besigye had tweeted,

COVID19 bonanza by Uganda’s NRM/M7 Junta “royals” is as brazen as it’s repugnant.
Among bonanza beneficiaries are Mrs Charlotte Keinerugaba (wife to Gen Muhoozi Keinerugaba) & her sister Mrs Ishta Muganga; both, being the daughters of Hon Sam Kutesa, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

This development comes when Kizza Besigye a four time presidential candidate opted out of the 2021 presidential elections opting for plan B.
