The National Unity Platform leader Hon Robert Kygulanyi Ssentamu has told Ugandans that his life is in danger following the shooting at him and his immediate bodyguards.

The Presidential candidate in the 2021 elections faced a life threatening situation today in Kayunga and Jinja when government forces opened live , bullets , teargas towards supporters of Bobi Wine .

The Freedom singer took to social media to condemn the acts of police brutality which saw one of their own a ASP Kato sustain a big wound on his head.

He said, our lives are in great danger! After blocking our campaign in Kayunga, on our way to the next one in Jinja, the police and military as usual blocked the main road and diverted us to a remote road.

This was as if intended to set us into their convenient ‘kill spot’. he added. When they thought no one was watching, the police and military shot the tyres of my car and directly into our windscreen, narrowly missing Hon Zaake and my driver. Bobi Wine posted.

Bobi Wine told journalists that tomorrow will head to Electoral commission a body in charge of organising Uganda’s elections to inquire if what is taking place is well known to them!

By Press time Uganda police was yet to a make comment.
