Sad: 30 Mpooma girls students collapse as police fire teargas at Bobi Wine supporters Mukono. Whisper Eye Reports

Uganda police fired heavy teargas to disperse National Unity Platform presidential candidate Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu supporters in Mukono.

On Monday Police fired tear gas in Mpoma Girl’s School , 30 students collapsed, 17 were admitted. Spectre Media reports

Police fired tear gas in one of the secondary schools along Bugerere road as it dispersed Hon Robert Kyagulanyi’s supporters who had gathered around the area to cheer him up.

In the process, some tear gas canisters revolved all the way into the school premises later affecting over over 70 students.

According to the Head teacher of the school, Mr Christopher Bwire, 30 students collapsed while 70 were rushed to hospital in Mukono.

By today morning, some of the students had started recovering though others are still in bad conditions.
