The deputy chief of Uganda People Defence forces , UPDF is in the limelight after ordering a local Kasese radio not to host Uganda Presidential candidate Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu .

Mr Kyagulani the presidential candidate for National Unity Platform has been denied access at Messiah FM in Kasese Town.

According to Bobi Wine officials Messiah FM informed them that the Deputy Chief of defence forces-Lt Gen Wilson Mbadi had ordered the radio station not to host us.

When asked why, No one had a clear answer.

The Deputy Chief of Defence Forces-Lt Gen Wilson Mbadi had ordered the radio station not to host Bobi Wine or anyone official from National Unity Platform.

Bobi Wine confirmed the reports after reaching the station , The regime is in so much panic but we shall not stop., he said.

Whisper Eye efforts to get a comment from the UPDF was futile however soldiers had also been deployed around the station to deter Kyagulanyi from being hosted at the station.


Uganda is under going a critical time as 11 presidential candidates are campaigning for the top political seat throughout the country .

It was recommended that due to covid19 candidates should engage with only 200 people inform of gatherings .

It was also stated by EC that Radios and TVs should be used by the candidates throughout the country to campaign however many candidates complain that this is not a reality.
