The National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu commonly known as Bobi Wine has shook Bundibugyo district leaving large security personnel who had been deployed to keep him away from the district overwhelmed and his supporters, yearning for more.

The Kyadondo East MP had gone to Bundibugyo to campaign how it has become the practice by Uganda Police to stage heavy security deployment .

For hours, police fired tear gas and engaged in running battles with his supporters as they tried to limit the gathering to 200 people in accordance with Covid-19 SOPs.

Bobi Wine supporters also gave him Bakonjo name musaaburi” as Bamba name him “mujuni” and also handed a traditional shield and spear as a sign of confidence in his leadership.

The names are also as a symbol of acceptance and support towards the 2021 presidential elections.
