Bobi Wine supporters trick police as hundreds swim in a dangerous swamp to reach campaign venue. Whisper Eye Reports

Mayuge residents beat police intelligence as hundreds opted to  swim through a dangerous swamp to join other Bobi Wine supporters.

UPDF and Police security operatives blocked the road to Bobi Wine campaign venue  in attempt to stop them from joining their presidential candidate  procession.

Bobi Wine who had earlier called upon Mayuge residents to vote for him so that as president he will review sugarcane prices and champion land reforms in Busoga sub region had left to Bugiri amidst cheers.

Police fired heavy teargas and live bullets to stop large numbers of Bobi Wine supporters from following him.

Earlier Bobi Wine had  reached Mayuge without police firing teargas however police got new orders to disperse the larger procession of his supporters.

After the rally, Bobi Wine decided to move to his next destination but his excited supporters wanted to follow which called for action from police since the EC has banned procession as a guideline to fight Covid19.

Bobi Wine  was set to visit Bugiri and Iganga later for his  presidential campaigns .
