Gen Kyaligonza is a live, official dismiss death rumours

Uganda’s Ambassador to Burundi, Rtd Maj Gen Matayo Kyaligonza is alive and kicking in Bujumbura. Whisper Eye Reports.

Uganda Foreign Affairs Ministry officials have dismissed yesterday evening  death rumours, saying Gen Kyaligonza was alive and kicking in Burundi’s capital, Bujumbura doing about his work.

“He was in office this Tuesday evening,” said a source in Bujumbura who’s not authorized to speak to the media. Chimp reports 

“I have talked to him. He’s well.” he added..

Whisper Eye checked his WhatsApp number after rumours circulated.

Reports which went viral on social media indicated that Kyaligonza, a decorated bush war combatant, had succumbed to COVID-19 at Kampala Hospital.

The rumours gained traction considering Kyaligonza was last year admitted at Nakasero Hospital in critical condition before recovering.

“It’s all fake news,” said a Foreign Ministry official.

Whisper Eye efforts to contact him was futile , no one answered his call.

The controversial Gen was one time charged of assault after he appeared slapping a female traffic officer in Sweta, Mukono

He also lost the NRM Vice Chairperson Western region .
