2021 Race : Joseph Mayanja “Chameleone” shakes Masanafu in Lubaga North. Whisper Eye Updates

Kampala Lord Mayor aspirant Joseph Mayanja was welcomed by enthusiastic massive crowds yesterday in Rubaga North constituency.

Music champion Mr Joseph Mayanja popularly known as Dr Jose Chameleone visited a number of centers including Kinonya, Masanafu, Luyinja, Lungujja, Bakuli in Rubaga Division, Kampala.

He was stopped long the way by his supporters who applauded him for being bold enough to play a part in the Struggle to liberate Uganda.

Residents of Kinonya village were surprised to see Mr Mayanja visiting their village which is abandoned by leaders.

“I couldn’t believe that Chameleone (Mr Mayanja) can reach here, I have never seen our Lord Mayor Mr Lukwago here ever since we elected him,” says Nannyonga Merida a resident of Kinonya.

Mr Mayanja promised to work on sanitation and improving health services in the area.

“As your Kampala Lord Mayor, I will make sure that all time find solutions to our challenges. We must work on sanitation and improving health facilities here,” says Mr Mayanja.

“Creating more jobs to reduce on youth employment must be top on the agenda in my leadership. We need jobs, my young brothers and sisters we need to earn something to improve on the social welfare,” he added.

According to Mr Lubowa Henry the campaign director to Mr Mayanja, told Whisper Eye news that they are moving towards what they planned.

“We are moving on well and the people of Kampala are to vote Change, they will vote Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert as president and vote Mr Joseph Mayanja as the Lord Mayor,” says Mr Lubowa.

Mr Lubowa added that Lord Mayanja is to reach down to the grassroots in all corners of Kampala city.

Today Mr Mayanja is expected to visit Makindye West constituency.
