Covid-19: Bobi Wine, Chameleone, MP Nambooze may be disqualified by EC. Whisper Eye Reports

Uganda Electoral Commission (EC) is set to disqualify candidates in the forthcoming elections race after failing to comply with Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) approved by ministry of Health to fight the spread of coronavirus in Uganda.

Intelligence report has pinned three candidates including Kyadondo East MP who doubles as the president of National Unity Platform (NUP) Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert a.k.a Bobi Wine, Kampala Lord Mayor aspirant Joseph Mayanja popularly known as Dr Jose Chameleone, and Mukono municipality MP Nambooze Betty Bakireke.

Whisper Eye is reliably informed that security has both video footage and photos of Mr Bobi Wine in various meetings, processions without complying with the recommended SOPs including the recent visit to Mengo.

They are waiting for Mr Wine to first nominate on 3rd November 2020, after becoming a Presidential candidate then plan how to disqualify him from the ballot.

Disqualifying Mr Kyagulanyi gives president Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni a direct win in the 2021 presidential race.

Mr Joseph Mayanja has had various public rallies which were banned by the Electoral Commission.

The report also has a video where Mr Mayanja was lifted by his supporters who had no face masks and this is against the SOPs.

Although Mr Mayanja had massive support and has proved that he is set to defeat haji Erias Lukwago who has served for 10 years as the Lord Mayor and five years as Kampala central MP, if Chameleone is disqualified then automatically Haji Lukwago will bounce back.

This is due to the fact that although there are many candidates in the race of Kampala Lord Mayor, only two are competing for the post in reality.

The outspoken mukono municipality MP Nambooze has also had a number of meetings, rallies, and processions without complying with the SOPs.

Her close competitor the current mayor for Mukono municipality Mr Kagimu Fred, might use the chance if MP Nambooze is disqualified to win much desired seat in Mukono.
