Erias Lukwago roasted for a photo seen cleaning trenches

Erias Lukwago roasted for a photo seen cleaning trenches. Whisper Eye Reports.

Kampala Lord Mayor Haji Erias Lukwago has been roasted by Kampala residents after a photo emerged with him cleaning a trench.

Haji Lukwago who has been a Lord Mayor for Kampala making 10 years in office, has been criticised for failing to fix the challenge of dirty trenches in the city.

The photo shows Haji Lukwago pretending to clean up a trench which has been already cleared in his office shoes, without gumboots and waring office clothes which makes it confusing for anybody to accept that he was seriously ready and prepared for the task.

“Why is he pretending now, he has been in office for now 10 years. What has he done to solve the problem of these trenches including those carrying sewage?,” Mr Kimuli Jamir asked.

“We can’t him give up on the third term like how he demanded president Museveni in 2006, no way,” he added.

Kampala Lord Mayoral race is between the incumbent Haji Erias Lukwago of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and Singer Joseph Mayanja popularly known as Dr Jose Chameleone who is an Independent candidate.

Other candidates include Kampala Woman MP for the last 15 years Nabillah Naggayi Ssempala, NRM’s Kazibwe Daniel, among others.
