Road 2021: 7 Million signatures supporting Bobi Wine’s Presidential bid seized by Uganda Police, says  NUP 

Last week Whisper Eye reported on how Bobi Wine’s NUP had collected close to 7 million signatures for his endorsement as a presidential candidate come 2021 elections.

At around 10 am dozens of Uganda Police sealed off Bobi Wine’s NUP party headquarters in Kamwokya in a show of force.

According to NUP spokesperson Mr Joel Ssenyonyi the police without a search warrant confiscated serious documents from their offices including signatures endorsing Bobi Wine’s  to stand for presidency of Uganda.

He confirmed that seven million signatures they collected to endorse Bobi Wine  presidency have been taken by the police.

He condemned police action and asuured Ugandans that the fight is still on.

We will be back to the field to recollect the signatures ahead of the nomination date. Ssenyonyi said.

By Press time Uganda Police had withdraw from NUP party headquarters.
