NUP bows down from Kasese protests , awards Sam Baluku MP NUP flag

NUP EC gives Kasese Municipality umbrella to Sam Baluku. Whisper Eye Reports

Jubilation dancing the Konzo dance Kikibi at the Kasese National Unity Platform (NUP) also People power offices and the entire municipality after they receiving news that the party Elections Management Commission grants Mr Baluku Sam the flag for Kasese municipality.

The NUP EC reconsidered their earlier decision and now Baluku Sam is the official flag bearer for MP Kasese Municipality.

This was after a mammoth pressure by the people on the ground who had vowed to quit the party for Gen Muntu’s Alliance For National Transformation (ANT).

Together with the Legal team of Mr Baluku Sam who petitioned the NUP vetting committee on over 10 grounds.

Sam Baluku now the flag bearer will be traveling to Kasese on Saturday and expected to be given a heroic welcome.

According to Mr. Nzaghale Benard Kelly who is one of the key campaign agents of Mr Baluku assured the supporters to remain calm and and wait for the official communication as he seeks for clearance from police to establish the number of people to be allowed to receive the Hon. Sam Baluku from Rwimi up to the NUP offices where he will address the media.

Mr. Nzaghale Benard Kelly who is also the head of legal team informed Whisper Eye News that they are having talks with the Kahindo Amina team to bring unity in the party to ensure that they together scoop the Kasese Municipality seat.

“Amina should come and work with us build the party. She should mobilise all her support for the official flag bearer,” says Mr Nzaghale.

“This will help so much to ensure that Kasese is painted red.


We are surely ready to work with him and all others.


We are as well happy with Counsel Ngelese Mbowa who having heard that NUP EC had reconsidered their position stepped down from the race,” he added.

Mr Baluku’s team is holding talks with his team as well to ensure that they mobilise all the support and have a huge win for Baluku Sam.
