Luweero Woman MP flagbearer Cissy Mulondo is come out to call for unity from NRM members in Luweero district.

Cissy Mulondo defeated incumbent Mp Eng Lilian Nakaate , Former Luweero RDC and others to grab the might NRM flag to contest for 2021 elections.

Speaking to Whisper Eye yesterday from Migadde Village, Katikamu , Sub -County Mulondo entreated the followers of the contestants in the concluded NRM primaries to bury their differences and unite for the task ahead.

She said factionalism among the members of the party could prove detrimental since the battle is between NRM and opposition forces.

The NRM MP flag bearer elect thanked the NRM voters for the confidence reposed in her and promised to defeat the opposition in the coming general elections.

Cissy Mulondo a teacher by profession scored 25,645 votes to defeat Nakalawa who had 2,591 votes, Zena who had polled 4,319 votes and Namulindwa managed 1,466 votes. The other contenders in the race included incumbent MP Lilian Nakate who polled 11,045 votes and Phoebe Namulindwa with 15,315 votes.
