40 out of 47 Kawempe North NUP councilors flag bearers totally reject Mr Updates ” Ssegirinya” as their MP flagbearer

40 out of 47 Kawempe North NUP councilors flagbearers totally reject Mr Updates ” Ssegirinya” as their MP flagbearer . Whisper Eye Reports.

Kawempe North Lord Councillor Mr Mohammed Ssegirinya has been rejected by 40 councilors out of 47 NUP flag bearers as their Kawempe North MP NUP flag bearer.

Whisper Eye understands that Ssegirinya who according to the NUP EC was the best candidate for Bobi Wine’s party to be it’s official flagbearer has been rejected by a petition presented to NUP leadership.

In a press meeting held in Kawempe addressed by Sserubiri the Cordinator of NUP in Kawempe North.

He noted that Mr Ssegirinya is ”extremely unpopular” among the electorate given his “nature and character” rendering him incapable.

He requested that the National Unity Platform (NUP) party to overturn its decision and front Sulaiman Kidandala for the seat.

According to these councilors , Parliament is not the place for Mohammed Ssegirinya to take his drama acts .

We would rather rally behind Sulaiman Kidandala who is an independent candidate because he has a good understanding and will therefore represent us well.” One councillor burst out in regret.

However Ssegirinya downplayed the reject saying he has the capability and capacity to represent his people in Parliament.

I’m a man of action and words; I’m two in one,” Mohammed Ssegirinya told our reporter.

Former Deputy Lord Mayor Sulaiman Kidandala on the other hand sounded as if he will contest as an independent candidate for Kawempe North constituency if the NUP EC doesn’t honour his petition against Mohammed Ssegirinya who is the NUP party MP flag bearer.
