Personality of the day: Meet Lawyer MP Medard Ssegona. Whisper Eye Reports

Many Ugandans especially members and supporters of National Unity Platform (NUP) were pleased by the fantastic presentation of counsel Medard Ssegonna yesterday in the controversial case of NUP.

Busiro County East legislator hon Lubega Medard Sseggona is a senior lawyer a partner to Lukwago & Co. Advocates since 2003.

Hon Sseggona is a former minister of Information, Cabinet Affairs and Lukiiko and Spokesperson Buganda Kingdom, Mengo 2006-2010.

Worked as the Shadow Minister of Justice and Constitution Affairs at Uganda’s parliament.

Mr Lubega Medard Ssegonna also known as Akalyamaggwa mainly in Buganda sat his Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) in 1990 at Mayungwe Primary School.

In 1994 he finished his Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) at Entebbe Parents S.S.

And in 1997 he attained his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) at Caltec Academy, Makerere.

Mr Ssegonna graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Bachelors Degree from Makerere University in 2001.

In 2002 he was completed a Diploma in Legal Practice at Law Development Centre (LDC) Kampala.

He was elected Member of Parliament for Busiro county East constituency in 2011 up to date.

He served as a lecturer at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) between 2002-2010.

He was a renowned member of the Democratic Party (DP) not until recently he joined the National Unity Platform (NUP) led by Kyadondo East MP Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu.
