President Museveni top critic Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has been released. Whisper Eye Reports

The Author of the Greedy Barbarian a book which seem to be criticising President Museveni and his government has been released by police.

Kakwenza , who often draws large following wherever he posts his opinions was arrested last week by a combined team of security forces.

Kakwenza supporters led by Kizza Besigye have voiced a growing frustration on the arrest of the author and called for his immediate release.

The Police Special Investigations Unit (SIU) have today released Kakwenza Rukirabashaija on Police Bond after staying in detention for a week.

“The Greedy Barbarian” Author was arrested and he has been undergoing interrogation.

According to the Police Bond, Kakwenza was charged with inciting violence and promoting sectarianism.

Nakawa Member of Parliament Hon Michael Kabaziguruka stood surety for Kakwenza Rukirabashaija with the support of Kizza Besigye.

He has been ordered to report back to Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Kireka on 24th September 2020.
