Tension in Karamoja sub region after about 50 prison inmates escaped from Moroto prison with guns yesterday evening.

Security agencies have not yet confirmed the number of guns taken by the escaped prisoners.

Sad report from Moroto indicates that they have killed one Uganda Peoples’ Defense Forces (UPDF) as they were making their way to hid into the mountains.

Intelligence is investigating the circumstances under which these inmates planned the mysterious escape with guns and their motive.
