US will revive global Virus-Hunting effort ended last year, as Covid-19 strikes more
A federal agency in the United States of America is resurrecting a version of Predict, a scientific network that for a decade watched for new pathogens dangerous to humans.
US is among the most affected countries by the deadly Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the world.
Democratic Party (DP) presidential candidate Joe Biden has also vowed to fund the effort.
“If I’m elected president, I promise you that America will be better prepared to deal with any threats that come our way,” says Mr Joe Biden.
“That starts with restoring the predict program that President Trump ended,” he explained.
Joe Biden is battling with president Donald Trump in the forthcoming presidential elections in US.
Predict was an epidemiological research program funded by a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) grant.
Launched in 2009, the program was described as an early warning pandemic system.
