Uganda Federal Alliance (UFA) have petitioned National Resistance Movement (NRM) Dr Tanga Odoi over their president the Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development Olive Namisango Turyomwe Kamya’s candidature in Rubaga North constituency.

The letter titled, Petition of looming candidature of Hon Betty Olive Kamya date 28th August 2020 was signed by UFA spokesperson Ssenyonga Barker Byayi and Chairman Isma Makumbi signed the petition on behalf of Uganda Federal Alliance (UFA).

“Hon Betty Namisango Kamya Turyomwe is the President of Uganda Federal Alliance (UFA), a registered political party whose offices are Kabusu, Kampala and the chief accounting officer of UFA,” the letter reads.

“Before she officially hands over her resignation letter, party properties and financial documents of NFA, NRM should desist from considering her as part of their ongoing primaries failure to which a law suit will be lodged against NRMO and Betty Kamya as a person for dishonoring Political Party and Organisation Act,” the letter reads further.

Now according to our sources at Kyadondo NRM offices Minister Betty Kamya is to face disqualification due to her double dealings with two political parties.

Beti Olive Namisango Kamya-Turomwe, also known as Betty Kamya and Beti Kamya, is a businesswoman and politician in Uganda, the third-largest economy in the East African Community.

She is the Cabinet Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development in the Cabinet of Uganda, since 14 December 2019.
