NRM Primaries: Cissy Mulondo leads Luweero District Woman MP race with 53%. Whisper Eye Reports

Uganda’s ruling party National Resistance Movement (NRM) is set to hold party primaries, reports from Luwero indicate that educationalist Cissy Mulondo leads among the seven candidates basing on opinion polls.

According to an independent survey made across the Ten sub counties and three Town councils: Lewero, Wobulenzi and Bombo that make up Luwero district polls shows that Ms Cissy Mulondo in the lead.

An independent survey shows that Ms Cissy Mulondo is in the lead with 53%, followed by Luwero former District Resident Commissioner (RDC) with 20.3%.

Others in the race, incumbent Eng Lillian Nalubega follows in the third position with 19.7 percent.

Former Luwero Women Member of Parliament Hon Rebecca Nalwanga has 5 percent, while Namulindwa Joy has 1.1percent, Nasur Zena has 0.5 percent and Nakalawa Faridah with 0.4 percent.

The survey made showed that that Ms Cissy Mulondo is very strong in Rural sub counties mainly Kamira, Makulubita.

NRM supporters in Luwero are ready to vote for change as they blame incumbent MP Eng Lillian Nakate for failing to promote their party in its strong hold of Luwero.
