East And Central Afro beat music champion who turned politician Joseph Mayanja popularly known by his stage name Dr Jose Chameleon is set to officially open up NUP offices in Kampala.

Privy sources close to Mr Mayanja told Whisper Eye news that he has renovated a full building at Balintuma road in Rubaga North which is going to serve as National Unity Platform (NUP) offices in Kampala Capital City.

These offices are painted red and blue the official colors of NUP party.

Singer Joseph Mayanja has put to an end of circulating rumors in town, that he was reconsidering Mityana North parliamentary seat.

Mr Mayanja told Whisper Eye news that be has no plans to change his mind, and he has all what it takes to become the next Kampala Lord Mayor.

“I’m a winner in my life, I have a good team in Kampala and we are winning together,” says Mr Mayanja.

“Get ready to welcome the first Kampala Lord Mayor of solutions to the challenges of Kampala. We are faced the same challenges for the last decade in Kampala, now we have come up with solutions,” he added.

According to the opinion polls in Kampala, Mr Mayanja has positioned him self as the major competitor to Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago even when four-terms Kawempe MP Latif Ssebaggala made a U-turn to contest for the seat.
