Exclusive: Why People Power coordinators in the diaspora have backed Kenneth Paul Kakande candidature, advise Joel Ssenyonyi to concentrate on big struggle.

People Power, Our Power Movement coordinators in the diaspora have advised outspoken People Power spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi to concentrate on the big struggle and pave way to experienced Kenneth Paul Kakande for Nakawa West Constituency.

Kyadondo East MP who doubles as the president of National Unity Platform (NUP) Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu’s strategists in Canada, UK and Germany argue that it is a serious mistake for Joel Ssenyonyi to contest for parliamentary seat in the forthcoming general elections. “Mr Joel Ssenyonyi is the face of People Power, Our Power Movement as well as NUP

It is a miscalculation for him to compete with other comrades in People Power,” says a coordinator based in Germany. “Our Spokesperson must be available at the headquarters in Kamwokya to clear the air, for the good of our struggle,” he added.

Former news anchor at NTV, has been praised for extra ordinary performance ever since he joined People Power, Our Power Movement officially.

The coordinators have backed Counsel Kenneth Paul Kakande’s candidature saying that he is among the trusted opposition leaders who endorsed Hon Kyagulanyi for president.
