Senior counsel officially nominated for NRM party primaries, vows to defeat undecided Moses Kasibante in crowded Rubaga north parliamentary race.

United Nations Interregional Crime & Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) attorney Brian Tindyebwa Kusingura joins Rubaga North constituency parliamentary race, after a successful nomination at the NRM party headquarters at Kyadondo, Kampala.

Lawyer Kusingura contested last time for the same seat after defeating Kampala tycoon Singh Katongole in National Resistance Movement (NRM) party primaries.

Youthful suave lawyer Kusingura has vowed to defeat Lands minister Olive Namisango Betty Kamya in the party primaries, who is seen as a political schemer by royal NRM party members.

He has appealed to his party to back him and defeat MP Kasibante Moses who is undecided now in the opposition politics.

MP Kasibante who has been with former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) president Kiiza Besigye, has shifted goals to Magere-National Unity Platform (NUP) based political force to utilise the Kyagulanyi wave in the forthcoming general elections.

However, MP Kasibante is faced with an immense task to convinces Kyadondo East MP Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu, the president of NUP.

This is simply because MP Kyagulanyi has his royal coordinator, Mubiru James who has greatly contributed to the People Power, Our Power Movement in Rubaga.

Other People Power lining candidates are Kawalya Abubaker formerly of FDC and Lubowa Henry of DP Bloc.

Kusingura is a senior partner at Kusingura-Tindyebwa & co. Advocates and Unicri.

He is a resident of Lubya Parish in Masanafu, just next to ‘Omutaka’ Kawere Ggunju the head of ‘Butiko’ clan.
