UPDF denies geting information on Gen Kale Kayihura appointment. Whisper Eye Reports

Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF) spokesman Brigadier Richard Karemire has denied the claims that former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen Kale Edward Kayihura was appointed as the Intelligence Coordinator as reported in media.

Yesterday social media platforms trended news that Uganda president had appointed Gen Kayibura as the new intelligence coordinator previously occupied by Gen David Ssejjusa also known as Tinyefunza.

Former Police boss was sacked following a fight within security organs with then former security minister Lt. Gen (Rtd) Henry Tumukunde.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni sacked both generals.

“As UPDF we haven’t obtained such information from official sources. We shall keep up informed through rightful channels,’ says Brigadier Karemire.

President Museveni is planning how to win the forthcoming presidential elections, and intelligence has it that he has to form a strong team to face People Power Movement led by MP Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu.
