The race was between a renown political activist and Uganda Young Democrats (UYD) National Deputy Organising Secretary, also People Power, Our Power strategist Mugonza Andrew popularly known as ‘Senator’ who won the vote with 64.3%.

His competitor Lwanga Kirumira, the Lwankoni parish councillor to Lwankoni sub County in Kyotera district scored 35.7%.

Mr Mugonza who is very popular in Uganda’s politics declared last week, his interest to contest for the Kyotera county MP seat in 2021.
