Mityana municipality home boy, a renown political activist Mukambwe Lukonge rallies big guns to liberate mityana municipality mayoral seat from the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
In 2016 NRM won the seat after opposition leaders fought for the parliamentary seat, thus giving Ms Ndyanabo Easter a historical victory in an opposition strong hold.
Whisper Eye has been reliably informed that People Power, Our Power supreme leader Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, Mityana municipality MP Zaake Francis Butebi, who is also the youth leader in People Power, Mukono municipality MP Betty Nambooze Bakireke have agreed that Mr Mukambwe Lukonge to liberate the post.
In an exclusive meeting, opposition candidate from the Democratic Party (DP) Mr Kyambadde Richard has accepted to step down for Mr Mukambwe for the good of a wider opposition.
Mr Mukambwe is a royal member of the Democratic Party, he is a former district councillor representing Mityana town council, former LC V, and Municipality MP contestant.
