Mpigi Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Rosemary Byabasaija has dismissed allegations, that arrested residents of Mpigi are ADF rebels.

Ms Byabasaija says that all those who were arrested have been released from Kireka SIU after finding out that they have no connection to ADF rebel group.

Last week security operatives made an operation in Mpigi arrested people who were working with ISTI Qaama organisation on allegations that they were recruiting young intelligent youths into rebel activities.

“All our people who were arrested including our chairperson for Park Village Nnalongo Ritah Naluggwa have been released and they are safe,’ says RDC Byabasaija.

” They are health, safe and the authorities found out the truth that they are not rebels as media reports, she added.”

According to RDC Byabasaija, says that “there is only one person Mr Yasin Lule who has been not yet released, and was arrested from Butambala district”.

RDC has reassured residents of Mpigi district that there are no rebels, and the maximum security is guaranteed in the entire district.
