Uganda Young Democrats (UYD) has praised Senegal’s member of Parliament Yeya Diallo who stood firm and informed the world about her Covid-19 status.

MP Diallo informed the whole World about her positive Coronavirus status.

This happened on thursday the 25th day of June 2020.

In the statement she issued , she said that, ” I would like to inform the national opinion that I have been tested positive of COVID-19″.

According to Hon. Yeya Diallo’s Ugandan friend Mr Sewiino Lawrence who is the National Organising Secretary for UYD, he states that, this could have happened after Hon. Yeya had earlier on engaged in vigorous noble activities of fighting COVID-19.

Through distributing relief and other items including personal protective equipment (PPE), to the affected people, where it is believed she contracted the virus from.

This hardworking law marker in parliament called on people to take essential personal measures such as maintaining hygiene and social distancing.

In relation to the above, the Senegalese President Macky Sall has quarantined himself as a precaution after coming in contact with someone who tested positive for coronavirus, this was revealed in the presidential statement issued on wednesday.

Although President Sall tested negative for the virus, he will be undergoing a quarantine process of 14 days based on medical recommendation.

” We wish Hon. Yeya Diallo a quick recovery and call upon other leaders to go on with her efforts to fight the Covid-19 pandemic,’ says Mr Sewino.

“Uganda Young Democrats call upon our leaders in Uganda to use MP Yeya Diallo good example to focus on service delivery most especially during this period of Covid-19 in the country,’ he added.
