Reopen churches immediately and we praise our Lord, Dr Abed Bwanika asks Museveni. Whisper Eye Reports

Former presidential candidate Dr Abed Bwanika also a senior Pastor at Christian Witness Church (CWC) Ntinda, Kampala has asked president Museveni to reopen churches, mosques and all places of worship amidst Covid-19 pandemic.

Dr Abed Bwanika argues that churches can provide necessary Covid-19 preventive measures like regularly washing of hands, using sanitizers, waring face masks among others.

“Believers can easily be traced, they are known. Let people worship their God,’ Dr Abed Bwanika said.”

“It is complicated one to understand how towns, trading centers, city streets are opened to operate and you close Churches, he stated.”

Dr Bwanika said that those who led Uganda to independence knew that the country depend on God which is clear in the National anthem. “Oh, Uganda! My God uphold thee…”

In an exclusive interview with Whisper Eye News, Dr Bwanika said that there is a group who have made the Covid-19 pandemic political.

“We have few Covid-19 victims, many have recovered. You can not count people who have recovered from the disease sick, he said.”

Pastor Abed warned president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni if he fails to open churches as soon as possible, the Lord may punish the country.

“Those who have recovered from Covid-19 in Uganda it was the mercy of our loving God, not president Museveni, or our medication, No!, let Churches open we pray to God for forgiveness, he explained”

Bwanika was born on 1 August 1967 in modern-day Lwengo district.

And currently the area was annexed to Masaka municipality to form Masaka City.

He attended Kimwanyu Primary School, near his parents’ home in said area.

Later, he studied at Masaka Secondary School for his ‘O’ level, and at Kigezi High School for his ‘A’ level.

He was admitted to Makerere University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine degree.

Later, he earned a Master of Science degree in the same field, also from Makerere.

He is the founder of Christian Witness Church (CWC), Ntinda Kampala.
