Cranes players pen reminding letter to Museveni over promised millions. Whisper Eye Reports.

Historical Uganda Cranes players have written to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni demanding him to fullfil his promise after a recommendable performance in the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

President Museveni promised to award players of the national team, Uganda Cranes 1million USD (3.7 billion shillings) having put up a great historical performance during the Afcon 2019 tournament in Egypt.

National team players led by their captain, Sundowns FC player Masinde Denis Onyango have informed the president that they need this money so much especially during this Covid 19 period that has left many of them with empty pockets.

Some of these players have retired from the National team football which has worried them whether they receive their cash Bonanza.

Well talented left back Godfrey Walusimbi is among the retired players.

Many football leagues were stopped due to Covid-19 pandemic that has affected the whole world.

The historical team defeated DR Congo 2-0 in the opening match, results that helped them qualify from group stages since 1978.
