Covid-19 : Uganda cases rise to 724

Ministry of Health on Thursday announced 19 new COVID-19 cases, bringing its total number of confirmed cases to 724. Whisper Eye Reports

Whisper Eye has learnt that 6 new cases are Truck drivers who arrived via Elegu and via Malaba as 13 cases are contacts and alerts from Amuru , Kyotera , Tororo , Gulu and Waksio.

The country health ministry, in its daily update this morning of tuesday confirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.

All contact positive cases are under Quarantine, the ministry confirmed.

Uganda now has 724 covid-19 cases since march.

Uganda also handed over 25 positive foreign truck drivers to their respective countries .

Uganda has now registered 351 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.
