UYD calls upon president Museveni to reflect on the death of Nkurunziza and hand over power to Bobi Wine. Whisper Eye Reports.

Uganda Young Democrats (UYD) administrator Maddo Isaac has asked Uganda president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to reflect on the death of Burundi president Pierre Nkurunzizza and hand over power to Kyadondo East MP Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu.

Youthful political activist, has told Whisper Eye that, Mr Museveni has to lead the peaceful power transformation in Uganda.

“It is true that Mr Museveni has contributed much to the political history of Uganda. But his efforts are countless if he fails to handle over power peacefully,’ says Mr Maddo.

” MP Kyagulanyi may not be the best person to replace president Museveni, but he is a unifying figure compared to the political history of Uganda. He can be a rock to build a united country after president Museveni,’ he added.

Many opposition political figures are ready and wish to takeover power after president Museveni.

The deceased Burundi president, Nkurunzizza led the process for peaceful change of power.

He fronted Evariste Ndayishimiye as a presidential candidate from his party, The National Council for the Defense of Democracy (CNDD-FDD).

President Nkurunzizza accepted to organise presidential elections amidst Covid-19 pandemic which has threatened the whole world.

With Nkurunzizza’s efforts and blessings Mr Ndayishimiye won the Presidential elections with 71% of the vote.

From this point of reference, president Museveni can also led the peaceful change of power in Uganda and handle to hon Kyagulanyi, according to Mr Maddo.

However According to NRM come 2021 president Museveni will be on ballot to challenge any Ugandan willing to seek the highest political office come 2021 .

Among those vying for the presidency is Bobi Wine, Tim Mugerwa, Gen Lt Tumukunde among others .
