Covid-19: Uganda cases hit record 657 as 11 test positive

Whisper Eye has learnt that 5 new cases are Truck drivers who arrived via Elegu, 2 via Malaba and 6 cases are contacts and alerts from Amuru and Kyotera district

The country health ministry, in its daily update this morning of tuesday confirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.

All contact positive cases are under Quarantine, the ministry confirmed.

Uganda now has 657 covid-19 cases since march.

Uganda also handed over 32 positive foreign truck drivers to their respective countries .

Uganda has now registered 118 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.
