No amount of torment and repression will water down our resolve and momentum to push our struggle forward, says general Tumukunde. Whisper Eye Reports

Former bust war general Rtd Lt. Gen Henry Tumukunde plans to lead Ugandans in the struggle to defeat president Museveni.

Gen Tumukunde who is battling with treason charges and was recently released on court bail from Luzira Maximum prison where he spent close to two months, has started his 2021 presidential bid a fresh.

Tumukunde said that the success 1980-1986 Luwero bush war has had a little improvement towards the development of the country, and a need to have reforms to unlock the country’s potential.

”I had thought that the struggles and preferences of my generation had delivered Uganda from the clutches of political uncertainty.

Whereas it is true that there have been substantial achievements over the last 35 years and indeed since 1962 when Uganda got independence.
It is also true that there are fundamental challenges impending our progress and leap forward as a nation, says Gen Tumukunde. “

‘I invite Ugandans to boldly and with focus amplify their determination and resolve to execute our mission, he adds.’

Gen Tumukunde promised to lead the second liberation struggle in Uganda.

“My personal mission is this second life of sacrifice and duty to my country.

I believe to unlock the doors of prosperity for all.” He said.

It takes a united people to build anything and everything.

Before the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, general Tumukunde was already Cleared by the Electoral Commission (EC) to hold consultative meetings as a presidential aspirant 2021.
