Covid-19: Uganda records more 32 deadly coronavirus cases as numbers hit 489

Uganda on Tuesday morning reported 32 more covid-19 cases bringing the tally of cases to 489 . Whisper Eye Reports.

The recoveries reach 79 with no fatalities, according to the country’s Health Ministry.

In a statement signed by Dr Olaro Charles , 14 of these new cases are truck drivers who them arrived from South Sudan via Elegu point of entry, 2 arrived from Kenya via Malaba point of entry and 2 are truck drivers who arrived from Kenya via Busia point of entry . and 1 arrived from Tanzania via Mutukula point of entry the report reads!

13 covid-19 cases are contacts of previous positive cases and alerts .Whisper Eye understands.

These include 7 from Kyotera ,2 from Tororo , 1 from Wakiso , 1 from Yumbe , 1 from Mpigi and 1 from Gomba all districts of Uganda.

Outcry persists among Ugandans calling upon president Museveni to ban the entry of Truck Drivers.

He insisted this is suicidal as 7 Uganda health workers also tested positive for the deadly pandemic which has killed hundreds around the globe.
