How MP Nambooze funded a DP youth leader Ssembajjwe to deliver free ARV to Ugandans living with HIV during the covid-19 lockdown. Whisper Eye Reports.

Mukono Municipality MP hon Betty Nambooze Bakireke joins the battle to give new hope to people living with HIV/AIDs by sponsoring the transportation of ARVs to them in the ongoing lockdown.

Democratic Party (DP) National Deputy Youth leader Ssembajjwe Paul in charge of Kampala Metropolitan area under Each One Help One NGO has appealed to all Ugandans to cooperate more especially in the current situation of lockdown.

Mr Ssembajjwe told Whisper Eye that they are transporting ARVs to needy People a cross the country.

Since lockdown over 1,100 People have benefited in the program. Mr Sembajjwe confirms.

Kampala Metropolitan area made up of Kampala, Wakiso, greater Mukono, over 402 people have been reached.

In Hoima 296 People have received ARVs at their homes, Kasese 368, and 103 people in Buvuma Islands.

All making up the total deliveries to 1,169 clients.

The main transportation has been Motorcycles “boda bodas” and bicycles.

Our reliable source say Mukono Municapality MP Betty Nambooze has also contributed to this program financially.

Each One Help One organisation officials reach out to various people who can help them by contributing transport fares to deliver the ARVs to their clients in different areas.

Many People living with HIV/AIDs have missed their dosage due to the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown in Uganda, declared by president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
