Covid-19: Uganda records highest single day coronavirus cases

Uganda on Saturday reported 84 more cases, the highest daily figure ever, bringing the tally of cases to 413. Whisper Eye Reports.

The recoveries reach 72 with no fatalities, according to the country’s Health Ministry.


52 of these new cases are truck drivers , 32 are contacts of previous positive cases. The report states.

50 of these truck drivers arrived from Elegu , South Sudan while 2 arrived from Busia , Kenya.


Outcry persists among Ugandans calling upon president Museveni to ban the entry of Truck Drivers.

He insisted this is sucidal .

52 foreign truck drivers were handed over to their respective countries.
