Covid-19: 5 truck drivers & 7 community contacts test positive as Uganda cases rise to 329

12 new coronavirus pandemic cases have reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 in Uganda. Whisper Eye Reports.

Whisper Eye has learnt that 5 new cases are Truck drivers who arrived via Elegu, South Sudan taking Uganda’s total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 329.

The country health ministry, in its daily update this evening of Thursday confirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.

The new cases , 7 new cases are a contact of the previous positive truck driver , a report adds.

All contact positive cases were under Quarantine, the ministry confirmed.

Uganda now has 329 covid-19 cases since march.

Uganda also handed over 25 positive foreign truck drivers to their respective countries .

Uganda has now registered 72 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.
