Covid-19: 23 truck drivers & 8 community contacts test positive as Uganda cases rise to 253

31 new coronavirus pandemic cases have reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 in Uganda. Whisper Eye Reports.

Whisper Eye has learnt that 23 new cases are all border entries taking Uganda’s total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 253.

The country health ministry, in its daily update this evening of tuesday confirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.

The new cases , 8 new cases are a contact of the previous positive truck driver , a report adds.

All contact positive cases are under Quarantine, the ministry confirmed.

Uganda now has 253 covid-19 cases since march.

Uganda also handed over 20 positive foreign truck drivers to their respective countries .

Uganda has now registered 69 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.
