Breaking News: Uganda Cholera outbreak kills 4 people, 109 admitted in Moroto hospital

An outbreak of cholera in Uganda has left 4 dead in Moroto district . Whisper Eye Reports.

The Parliament of Uganda twitter handle confirmed the outbreak of chorea in Moroto.

The district health officer, Dr Charles Omundu Komakech revealed this to the Parliament Task Force Committee that , four people have died of cholera & 109 are admitted in Moroto Hospital following an outbreak of the disease in the district.

The Members of Parliament on the Task Force Committee on Covid19 who are currently on tour of the district called upon the Ministry of health to provide urgent support to Moroto district.

The parliament sounded the warning !,the situation could worsen as the rainy season continues.

Cholera is transmitted through contaminated drinking water and causes acute diarrhoea.
