According to Iraqi security sources, a rocket was fired near the American embassy in the high-security Green Zone, on Monday night.
It was stated that the attack caused material damage and there was no loss of life.
Nobody has so far claimed responsibility for this attack as it happened for previous attacks. But Americans often blame pro-Iranian Iraqi forces.
In the past seven months, 28 attacks have been targeting American interests.
