Covid-19: Uganda cases rise to 248 as 21 Truck Drivers test positive

Twenty one more people have been reported to have tested positive for Covid-19. Whisper Eye Reports.

21 Truck Drivers takes Uganda’s total number of confirmed cases to 248, since the first case was reported in March. Sad take care Ugandans.

The country Health ministry, in its daily update on early Monday morning confirmed these rising numbers.

The new cases are Ugandans only who arrived via Mutukula, Busia and Elegu borders.

Covid-19 cases rise to 248 as all 253 community samples have tested negative for the deadly COVID-19 , in total samples of those tested was 1071

Uganda has now had 63 recoveries according to the ministry of heath.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turns out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.

According to authorities tracking them has commenced and the public will be informed accordingly tomorrow. 

This comes as President Museveni is set to address the nation at 8:00pm

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID19) is a communicable respiratory disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus that causes illness in humans.
