Covid-19: Uganda cases rise to 121 as 5 truck drivers test positive

President Museveni directive to fight coronavirus with tough measures is still on.

After easing the lock down President Museveni hinted on wearing masks for all people in the public as he looks upon easing the lock down yet more.

Yesterday 9th May, 2020, new 2 Covid-19 cases were reported bringing the number to 116.

The new 5 Covid-19 case confirmed from 1498 samples of truck drivers,’ says Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng.

These five new cases, three are Kenyan drivers who arrived from via Malaba; and another two Ugandans arrived from Elegu border points.

According to the daily report from the Ministry of Health all 341 community samples tested negative for COVID-19.

Now the total Covid -19 confirmed cases are 121 across the country.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turns out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.
