Havoc as rivers in Kasese burst their banks, hospital, houses washed by floods. Whisper Eye Reports

Three rivers Nyamwamba, Mubuku and Nyamugasani in Kasese district burst thier banks again causing havoc.

Thousands of residents are on the run due to serious floods.

Houses, schools, Kilembe hospital were among the demolished property by the floods on Wednesday night.

Residents have told Whisper Eye that the rivers stated flooding at 2:45am Wednesday 6th May, 2020.

‘I came to notice the floods at 2:45am, when we were woken up by the bomb sound of the rolling boulders,’ says one of the resident.

“At around 7:00am in the morning buildings started collapsing to the ground.” The resident added.

The affected residents are crying to the government for help.

In May 2013 these rivers caused a serious havoc, killing a number of people.
