King Oyo, president Museveni to co-host the first global global monarchs’ summit . Whisper Eye Reports.

Omukama (King) of Tooro, Oyo Rukidi IV has agreed to co-host the first global monarchs’ summit in Uganda together with president Museveni.

During the summit discussion meeting at State house Entebbe, president Yoweri Museveni accepted the king’s request.

Mr Museveni acknowledged the importance of traditional leaders during the meeting.

However the president raised fears, about some traditional leaders who cause havoc by misleading thier subjects.
‘You know very well the Attitude of NRM on the issue of traditional leaders, right from the beginning….’, says Mr Museveni.

‘Modernity can co-exist with traditional leadership, but if it is well handled’, the president explained.

A number of Traditional leaders including those who are heads of state.

The summit is slated in September, 2020 in Tooro.
