Eng Balimwezo, Kabaziguruka, Kakande and new entrant Ssenyonyi gifts Nakawa MP seat to NRM

Eng Balimwezo, Kabaziguruka, Kakande and new entrant Senyonyi gifts Nakawa MP seat to NRM. Whisper Eye Reports.

National Resistance Movement (NRM) is likely to win Nakawa MP seat as opposition candidates fight each other.

Nakawa Division mayor Eng Ronald Balimwezo of Social Democratic party declared his interest to contest for the seat.

Mr Balimwezo is very popular in the area and he has performed as the division mayor for his first term.

Unfortunately the constituency is represented by Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Hon Kabaziguruka Andrew Michael.

The incumbent has also started his bid for the second term.

Democratic Party (DP) publicity Counsel Kenneth Paul Kakande has more hope the time round to make it to parliament.

Mr Kakande has been at the center stage of fighting injustices and violation of Human Rights in Uganda since 1994.

Many believed in Mr Kakande to win the seat in 2021.

However, with the entrance of People Power Movement spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi in the opposite -crowded Nakawa MP race bound to deliver the constituency to NRM.

It’s clear now, that is these opposition fronted candidates appears on the 2021 parliamentary ballot NRM will take over the gifted constituency.

Reliable source told Whisper Eye that the ruling NRM is happy with the situation in Nakawa.

In 2016, NRM’s Fred Ruhind lost the juicy seat to Hon Kabaziguruka at a time when the Key wave was the thought of every vote.

Any opportunity to reclaim this seat by the ruling party it a political deal worth a do or die battle.

Whisper Eye shall keep you updated.
