Irene Kaggwa takes over as Godfrey Mutabazi reign ends at UCC

Godfrey Mutabazi’s last hours at Uganda Communications Commission ends. Whisper Eye Reports.

The UCC boss reign ends , he has been replaced by Eng Irene Kaggwa.

The communication has been made by new ICT Minister , Judith Nabakooba.

Eng Godfrey Mutabazi who has been the Executive Director of the Uganda Communications Commission has left the institution. reports .

A directive sent by Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Judith Nabakooba asked Godfrey Mutabazi to hand over the office immediately.

The chairperson of the Board at UCC carried a directive calling upon Mutabazi to hand over.

According to an insider close to the Minister this was to avoid the unlawful stay in office without a formal contract.

Mutabazi has been at the helm of UCC for the past 10 years. Today Friday 7th February marker his last day in office.

In 2019 then the board of UCC wrote to Former ICT Minister Mr Frank Tumwebaze recommending that Mutabazi contract be renewed.

Mutabazi was unreached to confirm reports .
