Democratic Party (DP) presidential race takes a new twist as parallel camps fight to protect their interests.

Tumuhairwe Denis was assaulted at DP offices at City house in Kampala.

DP president Nobert Mao supporters accuses Tumuhairwe for abusing their president.

‘Tumuhairwe is MP Betty Nambooze’s aide , she pays him to abuse president Mao,’ says Mao supporter a lady known as Maama Deo.

Mr Tumuhairwe is a social media blogger who posts anti-Mao messages, pictures mainly on Facebook.

According to the eye witness, Mr Tumuhairwe was beaten at City house and left bleeding.

He was carried away from a pending press on Tuesday amidst protection from Paul Kenneth Kakande.

Pro Bobi Wine candidature and former Luwero district Woman MP supporter; Tumuhairwe vowed that Moa will be defeated in the forthcoming National Delegates Conference.

According for Denis he will instruct his lawyers to access his next move as he continues to nurse wounds.

Hon. Nabukenya Brenda, Butambala MP Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi, former Buikwe South legislator Dr Ssalongo Lulume Michael Bayiga, and 2011 presidential candidate Mr Lubega Samuel Walter Mukaaku all declared to contest for DP top office.
