Floods have washed away Nyagak Bridge, Whisper Eye News Reports

Police on Wednesday urged motorists against crossing Nyagaka after heavy rainfall.

Pounding rain has swept away Nyagak Major Bridge in Zombo District disconnecting hundreds.

This was a result of the Wednesday afternoon driving rain.

Nyagak Paa kiru Bridge Connects the two Sub counties of Athuma and Jangokoro.

Locals including learners were seen helpless as the only bridge that they use was no more.

The LCV chairperson of Zombo James Oruna Oyullu said Zombo Technical staff is in full knowledge of what happened.

“I am still travelling back to Zombo but I have informed our technical staff to follow up and report immediately to the DDMC.” He shared a WhatsApp messaging platform.

Sections of Nyagak Bridge were washed away by floods high levels on Wednesday afternoon.
