Uganda police speaks out on today’s early arrests and brutal force before and after Presidential nominations.
According to Police spokesperson Enaga , the two Presidential candidates Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu (NUP) and Patrick Oboi Amuriat defied Electoral Commission guidelines on processions and rallies.
49 people have been arrested, 3 security personnel and 4 civilians injured and a yet to be identified male who attempted to return a teargas canister to Police seriously injured his fingers after it exploded in his hand!
Mr Enaga condemned the acts used by the two opposition politicians towards their nomination and thanked other candidates who were fully nominated without police intervention.
